Jeanne Hendrickson
Ballet and the performing arts have been lifelong passions for Jeanne. Born in New York City and raised on Long Island, she trained from an early age with esteemed mentors Andre and Leda Eglevsky, at American Ballet Theatre, and in prestigious summer residency programs, including with New York City Ballet in Saratoga Springs, NY. Jeanne’s early performances with the Eglevsky Ballet Company included numerous roles, most notably the coveted Clara in The Nutcracker. She later took the stage in beloved classical ballets such as Swan Lake, Coppélia, Sleeping Beauty, and Cinderella.
Beyond performance, Jeanne’s professional career in dance includes teaching at Boston University, several renowned ballet schools in Fairfield County, and Thompson Exercise, along with coaching private students over the years. She has also performed locally with Connecticut Ballet and starred in Curtain Call’s Dancing with the Stars.
In addition to her contributions as a dancer and educator, Jeanne is the founder of Dancer.NYC, a dancewear and accessories business. She takes pride in outfitting the students of Greenwich Ballet in her beautifully designed dancewear.
Jeanne and her husband have five children. The youngest, Caroline is a graduate of Greenwich Ballet Academy, Class of 2022.
