ADMISSIONS
Admission and placement in the Greenwich Ballet Academy is by audition only for Levels 1A and above. Registration for Early Prep, Pre-Academy 1 and Pre-Academy 2 does not require an audition. Students in those age groups can enroll directly online. Auditions are by appointment. To schedule your appointment, contact us here. You can register for an audition by first creating a new student account on our online registration system and paying the applicable fee. After you register online for the audition, you will be contacted by our program coordinator to schedule a time for your child to come in and take a placement class.
After your audition, you will receive notification of your child’s level and your child’s name will be added to the eligible student list for that class. You may then register for the class online. If all class assignments are filled, students will be placed on a waiting list and will be contacted when a place becomes available.
APPLICATIONS

AUDITIONS
Auditions are conducted to assess the dancer’s placement, technique, flexibility, balance and coordination, physical attributes and musicality.
PLACEMENT
After an audition or placement class, GBA faculty determine the appropriate level for a new student. Families are generally notified within 24 hours. The Executive Director and faculty reserve the right to adjust the placement level of any student at any time, according to the student’s individual needs, for example, after illness or injury, or an extended absence.
PERFORMANCE
GBA has two productions a year. All students perform in The Greenwich Ballet Academy’s Nutcracker as well as its yearly Spring Graduation Performance. Roles are cast based on merit, technique, stage presence, demonstrated discipline, work ethic, maturity and attendance.
